IaaS enables users to access its services via the Internet on
demand, as its service providers host infrastructure components
for computing, storing, and networking. In turn, this allows users
to run their business software in the cloud where the user is
usually responsible for installing, configuring, securing, and
maintaining the software in the cloud (e.g., database,
middleware, and application software).
B. Platform as a Service (PaaS)
This service allows customers to access the tools required to
build and manage applications via the web without going
through the infrastructure or their maintenance. This is because
the provider of this type of services presents and installs
application development programs that the user can then
access via the Internet browser according to his needs and thus
pays for this use.
To boost productivity, PaaS has ready-to-use software
components that allow developers to create new capabilities in
their applications including innovative technologies such as
artificial intelligence, chatbots, IoT and more. It also includes
solutions for analysts, users and professional IT administrators
including big data analytics, content management, database
management, systems management, and security.
C. Software as a Service (SaaS)
SaaS is a model for uploading software and applications to the
cloud service so that the customer accesses those applications
online. Many companies find SaaS to be the perfect solution
because it enables them to get up and run quickly using the
latest available technologies and reduce the burden on internal
resources due to the required automatic updates that may need
to be done. In addition, SaaS provides the companies with the
ability to scale services that in turn supports the volatility of
workloads and enables adding more services or features.
