organizations, large or emerging organizations) to exploit the
resources and services provided by cloud computing (which will be
mentioned in some detail afterwards) only as needed and without
the need to purchase infrastructure that is not fully exploited and
without the need to necessarily download applications to the
customer's physical local devices. Not only that, but these services
can be increased or decreased according to the customer's need
and commensurate with the nature of his need for these sources
and services. Consequently, this allows the user to invest in these
available services as much as it suits his requirements at each stage
of his work which in turn is one of the most prominent advantages
of using cloud computing in addition to other features that will be
                   presented later in this session.

              • Cloud Computing Architecture

Presenting the cloud computing architecture aims to introduce its
basic components and elements that in turn help in understanding
what the concept of cloud computing means. Basically, cloud
computing has three components: (a) front end, (b) network and
                   (c) back end.

                       A. The front end

The front-end of the cloud represents the user’s layer that
includes individuals, organizations and their employees, mobile
and laptop users and other users who have any type of device
capable of connecting to the Internet. Cloud computing service
providers offer application programming interfaces (APIs) and
other interfaces to enable users to access and use the required
                       services via the Internet.

                       B. The network

Network refers to the extensive infrastructure that cloud
providers use to deliver their cloud services to users. The
Internet is the basic infrastructure of the network which in turn
makes the concept of cloud computing applicable as services are
provided over the Internet. Here, it should be noted that the
Internet allows cloud computing users to access what is known
as public clouds as well as another type of cloud computing,
