● Application Service Providers through the Web:
These are companies that offer applications and software through the web. Users do
not need to install them on personal computers; instead, they open an account with
the software provider and access it online from any device worldwide. Examples of
such providers include Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS. Popular web-based
applications include Office 365 and Google Docs .

11.2Ways to Connect to the Internet

To connect a computer to the Internet, it must be connected in some way to a router
linked to the Internet through the service provider (ISP). Among the most common
     methods of Internet connection are:
      ● Dial-Up Connection
      ● Digital Line Subscriber (DSL)
      ● Leased Lines
      ● 3G/4G Mobile Network Internet
      ● Wi-Fi (Wireless Fidelity)

     11.2.1Dial-up connection
Dial-Up Connection is a type of internet communication that relies on the telephone
line, using the cables of the fixed telephone network for connectivity. It was the most
common type of internet connection in the early 1990s but has become less prevalent
with the emergence of other types of connections that offer higher internet speeds
and ease of use. This type of connection requires a modem and a fixed landline
telephone, and internet access is established by dialing a phone number provided by
the internet service provider. The modem converts the digital signals from the
computer into analog signals that can be transmitted over telephone lines, and it
performs the reverse process at the receiving end.
