13 Nework Security

Network security is the protection of the network infrastructure from unauthorized
access, misuse, or theft. This involves establishing a secure infrastructure for devices,
applications, users, and processes to operate safely. An electronic attack, also known
as a cyber attack, is an attack on computers, information systems, network
infrastructure, or digital electronic devices aimed at causing harm, disabling
programs, stealing information, or penetrating control and command systems .

    13.1Cybersecurity Attacks

There are several types and methods of cyber attacks that vary in terms of damage,
severity, and differ based on the attack's objectives, as follows:
     A. Penetration Attacks: The goal of penetration attacks is to erase certain
information, deny service, or alter data. This type of attack is considered one of the
     easiest to execute.
     B. Spying: Espionage attacks aim to steal inadequately secured information or
compromise it, often utilizing spyware or trojans.
     C. Equipment Disruption and Sabotage: This type of attack aims to halt some of the
equipment used in communication, such as servers or main data routers, making
services vulnerable to alteration, destruction, or complete paralysis and shutdown.
     D. Critical Infrastructure Attacks: Attacks of this nature target critical areas within a
country, such as communication stations, transportation means, power distribution
stations, hospitals, and other support buildings providing essential daily services to
     the state.
