Here is a list of some peripheral ports:
8.5.1 VGA
VGA ports are found on many computers, projectors, video cards, and high-definition
TVs. It is a D-sub type connector consisting of 15 pins in 3 rows. The connector is
called DE-15.
VGA ports are the primary interface between computers and old CRT monitors.
Modern LCD and LED monitors also support VGA ports, but image quality is reduced.
VGA carries analog video signals with a resolution of up to 648 × 480.
With the increasing use of digital video, VGA ports are gradually being replaced by
HDMI ports and Display ports. Some laptops are equipped with built-in VGA ports for
connecting to external monitors or projectors
