The concept of computer networks
A computer network is defined as a communication system that connects two or
more computers via a transmission
medium or for the purpose of
exchanging information and sharing
physical and software resources. To
achieve this, there must be physical
and programming requirements and
the preparation of network
resources. The most famous model
of computer networks is the Internet.
Features of a computer network
- Low cost as resources can be shared
between users. Resources such as printer
and storage space can be shared between
multiple users, which saves the cost of
purchasing resources specific to each user.
- Speed in accessing the required information,
which speeds up the completion of work.
Customer data can be retrieved from the organization's servers in fractions of a
second. Electronic messages can be exchanged between distant departments in
a few seconds.
