The most important features of the Tik Tok application:
1- The TikTok mobile app allows users to create a short video of themselves which
often contains background music and can be sped up, slowed down, or edited with
a filter. They can also add their own audio on top of the background music. To
create a music video with the app, users can choose background music from a
variety of music genres, edit it with a filter, and record a 15-second video with
speed adjustments before uploading it to share with others on TikTok or other
social platforms. They can also shoot short videos synced to popular songs.
2- The “For You” page on TikTok is a summary of recommended videos for users based
on their activity on the application. Content is generated by Artificial Intelligence
(AI) in TikTok depending on the content the user liked, interacted with, or searched
for. Users can also choose to add to favorites or mark “Not Interested” on videos
for their Page. TikTok combines the content a user enjoys to deliver videos they
will enjoy too. Users and their content can only be viewed on the For You page if
they are 16 years or older according to TikTok's policy. Users under the age of 16
will not appear under the For You page, Votes page, or under any category.
3- The “reaction” feature in the application allows users to film their reaction to a
specific video clip, as it is placed in a small window that can be moved around the
screen. The Duet feature allows users to film a video clip next to another video.
The “duet” feature was another trademark of Musical. ly.
4- Video clips that users do not want to publish can be stored in their “Drafts”. The
user is allowed to view the “Drafts” and publish them when he finds it appropriate.
The app allows users to set their accounts as “private.” When you first download
the app, the user account is public by default. User can change to private in their
settings. Private content remains visible to TikTok but is blocked from TikTok users
who have not been authorized by the account holder to view their content. Users
can choose whether any other user or only their “friends” can interact with them
through the app via comments, messages, or clips. “Reply” or “Duet” Video Users
can also set specific videos to “Public,” “Friends Only,” or “Private” regardless of
whether the account is private or not.
