“In education, the quality of the product is not enough. We must be able to see the
           learning behind it.”

◆ Key idea: real learning, not the visible product.

AI becomes educationally useful when it helps the learner understand, practice, receive
feedback, reflect, and transfer knowledge to a new situation. When it takes over the
thinking, the writing, and the decision entirely, it may improve the visible output while
           weakening the actual learning.

FIGURE 6-1: THE AI-SUPPORTED LEARNING LOOP
What to notice: The loop begins with a clear learning outcome and a genuine attempt by the
learner. Support then arrives as needed, evidence of learning is gathered, feedback is given,
and the path ends in reflection and transfer to a new situation.

         Chapter Objectives
Distinguish using AI to produce content from using it to support an observable process of
         learning.

Identify appropriate roles for AI inside teaching, and what must remain a human and
         pedagogical responsibility.
Design graduated explanations that account for prior knowledge, common misconceptions,

and language level without emptying the concept of its depth.
Create lesson plans, activities, and examples tied to learning outcomes and clear evidence

         of assessment.
Use quizzes, retrieval practice, spaced repetition, rubrics, and feedback in an educationally
         sound way.
Help a learner without carrying out the task for them, using a support ladder that begins

with a question and a hint before a full solution.
