3.6 Media and Where the System Runs
◆ Key idea: choosing a tool is not only about language.
It must read the file type and its structure, produce the medium you need, and run in a
place that fits your requirements for privacy, speed, and cost. A system able to work
across several of these at once, such as text together with images or audio, is described
as multimodal, and each medium it accepts must be tested separately.
