Google Calendar App
The Google Calendar app is known as a powerful tool developed by
Google that helps in managing time and scheduling appointments
effectively. The app works on Android and iOS phones. It allows you
to create and manage events, set reminders, and share your
calendar with others.
First you need to download the app from the store of your phone's
operating system. Once the app is installed, open it and log in with
your Google account. If you don't have a Google account, you can
create one for free. Once logged in, you'll see the app's home
screen that displays your calendar for the current day. To add an
event, tap the "+" icon in the lower right corner of the screen, and
click “event”.
Google Calendar allows users to:
• Create events such as meetings, lectures, quizzes, Figure 19: Google Calendar App.
important appointments, reservations …etc. You can also
edit, move, and delete events after they are created.
• Create recurring events such as weekly meetings or monthly
appointments. To do this, click on "Does not repeat" and
select the event frequency pattern in it. Descriptions and
locations of events can also be added.
• Set reminders for these events (up to five reminders per
event) with various options:
- Determine the type of reminders (by email or by
notification).
- Determine the date and time of reminders.
• You can add event details such as event title, date, time, Figure 20: Google Calendar -
location, and description. Create an event.
• Other attendees (guests) can be invited to events with
reminders sent to them.
• Documents, spreadsheets, or any file (with other formats) from Google Drive
can be attached with different sharing options so that guests can get all
information they need directly at the event.
