✓ Avoid using debit cards
Online shopping is more secure with a credit card than with a debit card; if something goes wrong, a credit
               card offers better consumer protection.
           ✓ Use script blocker
A script blocker is a clever add-on that gives browsers more security. It is used to prevent malicious and
               redundancy programs.
           ✓ Avoid browsing unsecured websites
Avoid visiting websites that don't have a padlock icon or HTTPS in the URL.
           ✓ Check Statements Regularly
When using credit cards, only pay the bill if you are confident that you are charged correctly.
           ✓ Think Mobile
Simply use the applications that companies like Amazon and McDonald's directly supply. Without visiting the
store or website, use the apps to find what you want and make the purchase directly.
           ✓ Complain Loud and Proud
Do not feel ashamed if you are scammed while shopping online. You can contact Consumer Protection Agency
               (CPA) to help you.

How to deal when getting scammed
✓ Stop any communication with the con artist, if you’ve already communicated with him.
✓ Find any pending or continuing payments to scammers and stop them.
✓ Any compromised credit cards should be cancelled to avoid additional unauthorized charges.
✓ Update your most important PINs and passwords, especially those of your email and banking
               accounts.
✓ Stop fraudsters from using your identity to open new accounts by freezing your credit.
✓ Inform any organizations and service providers that might be able to assist you in defending yourself
               from the scam.

       Teaching Kids Online Shopping
Teaching young people how to be responsible consumers who were previously centered on grocery shopping,
finding deals, and general brick-and-mortar buying advice. Although it's still crucial for kids to learn how to
shop safely in person, they also need to be able to shop online. Kids today must understand safe internet
shopping practices. Here are some pointers for instructing kids how to shop online safely:

           ✓ SET RULES
Before introducing your kid to online shopping, it's crucial to establish specific ground rules. Do you
want him to use your credit card to indulge in an online shopping binge? Depending on your kid's age,
restrictions may vary; however, some examples include:
o Shopping online is only permitted under close supervision.
o Making purchase or using credit card is not permitted without authorization.
o Shopping is not permitted from websites not included in the provided list of appropriate websites.
           ✓ PROVIDE A DEMO
Kids learn a lot through observing and interacting in the presence of an adult who explains things for
them. Make your kid involved in the process as you introduce him to online purchasing. He can first
observe you as you go through the processes.
           ✓ SUPERVISE ONLINE PURCHASES
Many children like to use their allowance or gift money given to them in holidays or birthdays to make
an internet purchase. Once your child understands online shopping, you can keep an eye on their
