Online shopping scam websites
Online shopping scam sites use a phony or subpar online business to gather victims' credit card information,
making it a primarily used method (figure 24). These frauds are problematic because they occasionally offer goods
or services to gain the appearance of legitimacy.

Scareware scam websites
Malicious websites use false security alert popups to trick you into installing malware (seemingly a fix) that poses
as an antivirus product. They accomplish this through popups that say that your device has a virus or malware
infection (figure 25). Thus, you hasten to download and install a malware (seemingly a fix) out of fear or urgency
