Mr. Frank-Walter Steinmeier, the President of the Federal Republic of Germany, and Prof. Dr. Ayman Ashour, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, attended the official opening ceremony of the German International University (GIU) in the New Administrative Capital, along with Prof. Dr. Mostafa Refaat, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Universities.
The official opening ceremony was also attended by Dr. Selim Abdelsnaser, President of the German International University, Dr. Yasser Hegazy, President of the German University in Cairo, a high-level delegation from the Federal Republic of Germany, as well as leaders from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and a distinguished group of diplomats and prominent media figures.
