Cultural and scientific relations are fundamental pillars in the development of higher education. These relations work to enhance the capabilities of university faculty members through scientific and cultural exchanges, allowing them to gain both scientific and practical expertise. This is achieved through participation in conferences, workshops, and training courses, whether held within Egypt or abroad. Additionally, the implementation of executive programs for cultural agreements between Egypt and various countries plays a crucial role. These agreements, which are distributed to universities through the Cultural Relations Committee, are among the most significant tools for advancing the educational process in universities. They work towards enhancing faculty members’ skills and training them.
The focus is on fostering scientific, research, and cultural openness with universities worldwide, understanding the different educational systems applied in these countries, interacting with them, and selecting the most innovative practices that can be implemented in Egyptian universities. This contributes to the development and modernization of educational programs.
The committee is responsible for devising plans to ensure that universities benefit from international agreements and their executive programs, coordinating these efforts, and managing nominations for secondments, allocation of scholarships, and university representation in scientific conferences and seminars. The committee’s recommendations are approved by the Supreme Council of Universities.
