Overview of the Administration
Developing higher education has become one of Egypt's fundamental priorities through preparing and enhancing its human resources to handle comprehensive national development. This effort aims to keep pace with contemporary advancements and address new global challenges. Given the crucial role that scientific committees play in the educational and research processes within universities and their significant contribution to advancing and developing higher education at all stages, Law No. (49) of 1972 on University Organization stipulates in Article (73) that scientific committees are responsible for reviewing the scientific contributions of applicants for assistant professor and professor positions or for obtaining academic titles. The formation of these committees is decided by the Minister of Higher Education for a period of three years, after consulting university councils and obtaining approval from the Supreme Council of Universities.
