- Only a few common fractions have a symbol that you can replace. For more

   unusual fractions, such as 8/9, you can round the symbol by setting the

   numerator as superscript and the denominator as subscript.

5.19.4 International characters such as ¿ or ü

- If you plan to type in other languages often, you should consider switching
   your keyboard layout to that language.

- For one-time characters, keyboard shortcuts are always available in Office to
   do this. For example:

- CTRL+SHIFT+ALT+? Insert
- Pressing CTRL+SHIFT+~ immediately followed by “a” will insert ã.
- Pressing CTRL+SHIFT+: immediately followed by “u” will insert ü.

- You can easily insert a check mark (also known as a "tick mark") into

   PowerPoint.
- 1. In the file, place the cursor where you want to insert the symbol.
- 2. Open the Code dialog box:
- PowerPoint: Insert, select Symbols > Symbol
