Smartphones Made in Egypt
"Egypt Manufactures Electronics"
Most of mobile phones carried by Egyptian users are made outside Egypt. So, the
Egyptian government took upon itself an important strategy of localizing technology
and implementing the presidential initiative “Egypt Manufactures Electronics”. Which
intends to expand Egypt's standing in the field of electronics design and manufacture.
As of this writing, three major companies produce phones in Egypt: Samsung, Infinix,
and Vivo.
• In October 2022, Samsung launched the first batch of its smartphones
