• Microcomputers are the smallest and most common type of computer. They
are primarily used for personal use or business computing. Microcomputers
typically come in a variety of sizes and configurations, depending on their
purpose. Examples include desktop computers, personal computers (PCs),
laptops, and tablets. Desktop computers typically have larger components
than laptops, which are designed to be more portable. Tablets offer similar
capabilities to laptops in a more compact form factor. The affordability,
portability, and wide range of applications make these computers the most
popular choice for general computing needs. They are suitable for a variety
of tasks and uses, such as word processing, web browsing, streaming media,
                and gaming.

        Classification by handling capabilities
Computers can also be classified according to how they are designed to operate,
or according to their methods of operation. Therefore, the three broad categories
include analog, digital, and hybrid computers.
