One of the most important disadvantages of hybrid applications is that they do not
operate efficiently in original or multi-platform applications and have very limited
access to hardware.
Examples of hybrid mobile applications include Evernote and UBER applications.
Progressive Web Apps
PWA applications are like hybrid mobile applications, which are built using web
techniques and displayed via the same web browser and are dedicated to the
appearance of a mobile application. They also operate when not connected to the
Internet by storing the data needed to display the pages of the application, but with
great limitations where they ultimately need online communication .
The progressive web applications are added to the page from the browser, using an
option to add to the main screen that appears when the browser opens a
progressive web application and there is currently a very small approach to
deploying these applications within the platforms ' shops such as Google Play
and App Store compared to the original applications in the operating system.
The advantage of this approach is to provide short access to the web site within the
mobile instead of opening the browser and then accessing the web site, but it is
restricted to the access and efficiency of the operation, so you find that most of the
users of web sites and e-commerce sites have recourse to it.
Examples of progressive web applications are Starbucks and Flipboard.
